Microblading

Microblading, an artful technique originating from Asia and gaining immense popularity in the West, is the key to achieving impeccably natural eyebrows with optimal pigmentation. Carried out by skilled professionals, this experience, also known as permanent makeup, eyebrow tattooing, or 3D eyebrows, involves the creation of small, hair-like micro-lines across the epidermis. Unlike traditional permanent makeup, which can appear synthetic over time, Microblading manually scratches into the skin, resulting in a more pleasing and authentically natural finish. It is the perfect solution for those seeking a realistic, hair-like texture, regardless of their current brow volume. Elevate your eyebrow aesthetics with Microblading, where every stroke is a brushstroke towards effortlessly enhancing your natural beauty.

MICROBLADING

Step 1

Consultation and Eyebrow Analysis (30min maximum)

  • Prior to arrival, we request that all first-time clients fill out an initial intake form.

  • Our permanent make-up technician will meet with you to discuss your preferences as well as provide various options that will compliment your facial structure, eyebrow hair pattern, hair, and skin tone.

  • Before pictures will be taken and an optional numbing cream can be provided.

  • Using detailed measurements, a proposed shape will be drawn on for your review.

  • Maintaining the natural features of your beauty is so important to us!  Before performing any treatment, we will always confirm your approval to ensure that you are satisfied with the proposed design and colour.

  • Another before picture with the approved template design is taken.

Step 2

                         Treatment (2-3hrs)

  • Semi permanent tattoo process once you have approved the shape and color of choice that is fit for you. Once you have finalized your decision, we will begin the semi permanent tattoo process.  A topical anesthetic is applied before and during the procedure to keep you numb throughout the treatment.  Using top of the line specialized tools and pigments, your permanent makeup is customized specifically for your face, hair and skin tone. The complete procedure takes approximately 2 hours, but may take longer if you are sensitive or have little eyebrow hair.

  • The area initially looks darker than what it will be after healing but most clients feel completely comfortable going out in public/back to work right away.

  • After pictures are taken, you are provided with aftercare instructions.

Step 3

                           Touch Up (1-1.5hrs)

  • A follow up appointment is recommended within 4-6 weeks of the initial treatment.

  • During the healing process, some areas may retain pigment better than others – this is completely normal.

  • Occasionally clients want the color darkened or the shape adjusted slightly after the initial treatment has healed. This will be addressed at the follow up appointment.

  • The treated area is thoroughly examined and we discuss any adjustments to be made.

  • The touch up is performed and photos are taken.

  • This appointment usually runs 45-60 minutes.

  • Color and hair stroke refreshment maintenance is recommended every 6-15 months depending on skin type, life style and preference.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • The level of pain varies among individuals and may be influenced by age. Most clients, however, find the pain to be tolerable, typically ranking it as a low 2-3 on a scale of 1-10, which is significantly less than traditional tattoos. The sensation is often likened to tweezing. We use a topical anesthetic applied as needed, and the use of the thinnest needles ensures a comfortable experience.

  • Sensitivity during Microblading can be influenced by your menstrual cycle, making you more susceptible to feeling the procedure. However, our use of the thinnest needles and microblades, along with a topical anesthetic reapplied as needed, helps manage and minimize any discomfort.

  • The initial appearance of permanent makeup is 30-50% darker, intensifying in the week following the procedure. This heightened color is temporary. After the skin heals and scabs fall off in approximately two weeks, the color stabilizes, becoming lighter than the initial shade. Any desire for a darker tone can be addressed at the follow-up appointment, preferably done gradually. Some color may reappear, especially in darker skin tones, a few weeks after treatment. Healing duration varies, with visible healing typically lasting 7-10 days. Return for a touch-up is recommended after 4 weeks.

  • Absolutely! During the follow-up appointment, which is recommended around 4 weeks after the initial procedure, we can adjust the color to your preference. While the color may initially appear darker, we prioritize a gradual darkening process for a natural and personalized result. It's our commitment to ensuring you're fully satisfied with the color outcome, allowing you to customize it further during the touch-up session.

  • To facilitate the process, you can bring reference photos of your ideal shape and color. If you fill in your eyebrows regularly, do so as usual to help convey your desired shape. Stray hair removal is not necessary, as it will be addressed during brow mapping. Avoid drinks with caffeine or alcohol, as well as blood thinners like aspirin, on the day of your treatment. Ensure a clean, makeup-free face, and be punctual for your appointment to complete paperwork and allow time for numbing cream application.

  • For the first 10 days, apply a small amount of the provided ointment three times daily. Keep the area dry, and if it unintentionally gets wet, gently dab it with a tissue. Wash the treated area once nightly using cerave or cetaphil. During the scabbing period, avoid wiping; instead, gently dab.

  • For optimal healing, refrain from heavy sweating for the first 7 days, although light exercise is acceptable. Avoid intentional facial tanning, swimming underwater, sauna, steaming, facials, or abrasive treatments for 2 weeks post-treatment. Also, steer clear of products containing retinols, acids, etc., on the treated area, as these may impact the treatment's durability. Additionally, resist coloring or bleaching eyebrow hair for a month after the procedure.

  • Microblading is generally safe for most healthy adults. We assess each client individually to ensure a successful outcome. However, if you suffer from a major illness affecting your immune system or healing, such as diabetes, organ transplants, or bloodborne diseases, it's crucial to contact us before booking. Conditions like prone keloid scarring or medications affecting the immune or blood clotting systems may require your doctor's approval before proceeding.

Micropigmentation

What is micropigmentation?

Eyebrow micropigmentation, also known as eyebrow tattooing or cosmetic tattooing, is a semi-permanent makeup technique used to enhance or reshape eyebrows. During the procedure, pigment is implanted into the skin using a fine needle, creating the appearance of hair strokes or filled-in eyebrows. This technique is often used to achieve a more defined shape, correct sparse or uneven brows, or cover scars. Unlike traditional tattooing, micropigmentation typically uses pigments that are designed to fade over time, allowing for adjustments to be made as the client's preferences or trends change. Micropigmentation goes deeper into the skin than microblading and because of that it lasts longer than microblading. Micropigmentation has the option of natural colors.

How long does eyebrow micropigmentation last?

The longevity of eyebrow micropigmentation can vary depending on factors such as skin type, sun exposure, and individual metabolism. Generally, it lasts anywhere from one to three years before needing a touch-up. Over time, the pigment gradually fades as the skin naturally exfoliates. Touch-up sessions are recommended to maintain the desired shape and color intensity.

Eyebrow Lamination

What is eyebrow lamination?

Safe, natural  & pain free approach to creating fuller & fluffier eyebrows using your natural hair! This look can be created by redirecting your eyebrows growth upwards. There are no risks of long term damage to your brows if the procedure is performed by a trained professional and the formulas used for the lamination are designed to be gentle on the hair and skin. Brow lamination works by restructuring the brow hair’s disulphide bonds - essentially using the same science and basic principles of a perm.

How long does eyebrow lamination last?

The affect will last until your brow hair grows out. On average around 4-6 weeks. Brow lamination should be done 8-10 weeks apart in order to allow the brow hairs to complete its growth cycle.

Each time you get them wet they will appear disheveled. You need to brush them regularly. It is recommended to purchase a brow gel to hold the hair in place throughout the day.

After Care: Keep brows dry for 24hrs, nourishing the brows with a keratin serum everyday, and brush them regularly.

Not suitable for individuals with rosacea, eczema, frequent retinol use, recent microdermabrasion, sensitive skin, or on acne medication.
